Keith Ashby, MD, FACP

Dr. Ashby joined HMG in 2005 as the Medical Director of the HMG Rapides Regional Medical Center Hospitalist Program in Alexandria, Louisiana. He was promoted to Regional Medical Director in 2008 and has administrative and clinical responsibility for HMG practices in Louisiana and Mississippi. He works collaboratively with HMG�s Chief Medical Officer, Senior Medical Officers and Operations Team and our client hospital leadership in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of care.

Dr. Ashby has been a practicing hospitalist since 2005 and has been active in medical management since 1998 as Medical Director of Proctor & Gamble Pharmaceuticals in Cincinnati, Ohio; Associate Professor of Medicine at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana; and Chief of the Department of Medicine, Huey P. Long Medical Center in Pineville, Louisiana.

Dr. Ashby is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Chicago, Illinois and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He has also completed a fellowship with the National Association of Public Hospitals.
