  • The Washington Hospital is a voluntary, not-for-profit community hospital serving Washington and its surrounding communities since 1897.
  • Located in Washington with multiple outpatient sites throughout Washington and Greene counties, the hospital has 265 beds in addition to a 16-bassinet nursery and an 8-bed residential hospice.

  • The Washington Hospital is a major employer and educational institution in Washington County, hosting a Family Medicine Program for both MD's, and DO's. It was founded in 1971 and graduates 8 physicians per year.

Staff Hospitalist Profile

  • A dedicated Hospitalist Team of six (6) full and part time physicians will provide on-site service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Each full time Hospitalist will work 192 hours of clinical professional medical services per month consisting of approximately 12 shifts.
  • The Hospitalist Team provides service response for codes, consultations, inpatient episodic medical care in conjunction with the current intensive care service at The Washington Hospital, unassigned ED call and patient admission/discharge.
