• Saint Francis is a 155-bed acute care facility with more than 300 medical staff members, including primary care and specialty physicians, 650 employees and 175 adult and junior volunteers.
• Fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the mission has been to provide the members of our community with quality, compassionate healthcare.

Hospitalist Program Profile

• The Hospitalist Team of four full time physicians will provide hospitalist services as scheduled.
• The Hospitalist Team provides service response for codes, consultations, inpatient episodic medical care, ICU procedures, unassigned ED call and patient admission/discharge.

• The state's highly acclaimed Computers in the Classroom initiative (one of the nation's first) was implemented in 1989. As a result, high school graduates in the Charleston MSA are among the most computer literate in the nation, bringing 13 years (K-12) of computing experience to the labor market. West Virginia's access and use of technology in schools received the highest grades in the nation, according to the Technology Counts 2006 report from Education Week.
• Charleston is the host of many events throughout the year including the Capital City Arts & Crafts Show, Charleston Distance Run, Charleston Sternwheel Regatta, FestivALL, Multi-Fest, Smoke on the Water Chili Cook-off, Tri-State Racetrack & Gaming Center, Vandalia Gathering, WV International Film Festival and WV Power Single A Baseball.
