Hospital Profile:

  • Riverview Hospital Association strives to "be a leader in providing and developing progressive, high-quality and cost-effective health care services" for the community. With the additions in the last 13 years of Riverview Family Clinic and UW Cancer Center Riverview, plus cooperative relationships with regional care providers, Riverview offers a wide array of specialty medical services that previously would have only been available in much larger systems.
  • Riverview Hospital Association is an independent, community-owned health care provider that gets support from the Riverview Health Care Foundation, Riverview Hospital Auxiliary and the generosity of the community; this creates a culture that invests in those services for which there is a compelling community need. Riverview Hospital Association consists of Riverview Hospital, Riverview Family Clinic & UW Cancer Center Riverview.
  • Riverview Hospital is licensed as a 99-bed hospital with a capacity of 79 beds for inpatient care and provides a wide range of outpatient services. Riverview meets the needs of 50,000 people who reside in South Wood County and the surrounding area.
  • The state-of-the-art Riverview Tower, opened in 2009, contains spacious, all-private rooms for medical, surgical and pediatric inpatients. Amenities include isolation and bariatric rooms, infusion center, rehab services suite, three open air courtyards, two fireplace lounges and a family resource center.
  • Riverview Hospital also offers a wide array of inpatient and outpatient services including Critical Care Unit, Diabetes & Nutrition Center, Emergency/Urgent Care, Family Birthplace, Imaging Services, Laboratory Services, Rehab Services, Respiratory Care Services, Sleep Lab, and Surgery and Outpatient Procedures.
  • The Emergency Department has almost 30,000 visits per year and offers specialist services such as family physicians and internists, surgeons, orthopedists, obstetrics/gynecologists, pediatricians, ophthalmologists, ENT's and anesthesiologists.
  • Riverview Hospital is complemented by the UW Cancer Center Riverview, which offers a full range of cancer services including medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgery and clinical trials. In 2006 UW Cancer Center Riverview became the first in central Wisconsin to offer state-of-the-art helical tomotherapy, the most sophisticated and effective Image-Guided Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy in the world. In 2009 UW Cancer Center Riverview became the first in the world to treat skin cancer with electronic brachytherapy, reducing treatment time and increasing comfort and safety for the patient and cancer center staff. UW Cancer Center Riverview is affiliated with the world-renowned University of Wisconsin Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center in Madison, the only comprehensive cancer center in Wisconsin as designated by the National Cancer Institute.
