  • Well-established 315-bed hospital with a 100+ year legacy of healthcare in central Louisiana, providing care within the community and to a service area population of 450,000.
  • Rapides Regional Medical Center has served as the referral center of the first integrated healthcare delivery system in central Louisiana since 1994, when the Rapides Healthcare System was established.
  • Rapides Regional offers a wide array of services including general medicine, general surgery, cardiovascular surgery, bypass surgery, cardiac rehabilitation, neurology, neurosurgery, intensive care and telemetry, oncology services, senior behavioral health services, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedic services, physical therapy, skilled nursing services, respiratory therapy, lithotripsy and various outpatient services. Rapides Regional Medical Center Intensivist / Hospitalist Program Profile

  • At Rapides, the Hospitalist Team provide on-site service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Day shifts are generally 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., night shifts from 7 p.m. -7 a.m. The schedule consists of four to seven days on and four to seven days off. Each full time hospitalist will work up to 192 hours of clinical/professional medical services per month, consisting of approximately 12 and eight hour shifts. Pulmonary/Critical Care hospitalist will work Day shifts, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. with seven days on and seven days off.
  • The Intensivist / Hospitalist Team will provide service response for codes, consultations, inpatient episodic medical care, ICU procedures, unassigned ED call and patient admission/discharge.
  • The Intensivist / Hospitalist Program is an integral component for the delivery of inpatient healthcare at the Hospital.
