• Dimensions Healthcare System, the largest not-for-profit provider of healthcare services in Prince George's County, was formed in 1982 and is an integrated healthcare system serving residents of Prince George's County and the surrounding area.
• Prince George's Hospital Center is an acute care teaching hospital and regional referral center.
• Prince George's Hospital Center is a 209-bed facility and is comprised of inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services including: Trauma and Critical Care Services, Cardiac Care, Open Heart Surgery and Therapeutic Catheterization, Surgical Services, Maternal and Child Health, Outpatient Services and Psychiatric Care; as well as, the Graduate Medical Education Department. Specialties include Cardiologists, Orthopedists, Ophthalmologists, Obstetricians and Gynecologists Pediatrician/Neonatologists, Plastic Surgeons, Neurologists, Primary Care, Critical Care and Pulmonologists, Psychiatrists and other Mental Health Professionals and Addiction Treatment Specialists.
• The Emergency Department, with an annual volume of 45,000, has private acute-care treatment rooms, a six bed resuscitation area, an observation unit, two trauma rooms and a separate ambulatory/walk-in care area.
• Prince George's Hospital Center is fully accredited by The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations.

 

Hospitalist Program Profile:

 

• The Hospitalist Team of six Physicians will provide inpatient care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Each full time Hospitalist will provide up to 192 hours of clinical professional medical services per month.
• The Hospitalist Team will attend adult medicine inpatients, from admission to discharge, and will provide, as necessary, a variety of procedures in the ICU, respond to codes, and complete consultations as requested.

• Cheverly is a town in Central Maryland, just outside Washington, D.C., that is located in Prince George's County, with an approximate population of 6,433 residents.
• Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport are both within 25 miles of Cheverly.
• The close proximity of Washington DC, Baltimore, Annapolis and Alexandria, VA offers much to the resident of Cheverly in the arts and entertainment, sporting events as well as outdoor activities.  This area also boasts a plethora of educational opportunities and institutes of higher learning.
