Hospitalist Program Profile
At Maryland General Hospital, the Hospitalist Team of 7 full time physicians will provide 24 hour coverage, 7 days a week. Each full time hospitalist will work up to 192 hours of clinical professional medical services per month, consisting of approximately twelve and eight-hour shifts.
The Hospitalist Team provides service response for codes, consultations, inpatient episodic medical care, ICU procedures, unassigned ED call and patient admission/discharge.
The Hospitalist Team will have a direct role in medical education with a regularly assigned team of residents and appointment to the hospital's residency program.
