Flower Hospital is a 279-bed facility located in Sylvania, Ohio. The campus includes the hospital, including a Level III Trauma Center; the region's leading oncology services; and several senior and assisted-living facilities offered through ProMedica Continuing Care Services.
Flower Hospital recently achieved the Ohio Partnership of Excellence (OPE) Achievement of Excellence award, Tier III. This advanced level award recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence through commitment and practice. Flower Hospital is the only hospital in Ohio to achieve this distinction and joins only six other organizations in Ohio.
The hospital is also a member of the ProMedica Health System, Northwest Ohio's largest and most progessive system that offers a full spectrum of health services through its nine hospital network.
Hospitalist Program Profile
The medical employment hospitalist team of six to eight full time physicians will be on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Each full time hospitalist will provide up to 192 hours of clinical professional medical services per month consisting of 12 and eight hour shifts.
The Hospitalist Team provides service response for codes, consultations, inpatient episodic medical care, ICU procedures, unassigned ED call and patient admission/discharge.

The city of Sylvania is located in Northwest Ohio, along Toledo's western border.
Once the home of many of Toledo's leading industrialists and their country estates, Sylvania is now one of the area's most desired suburbs.
Sylvania is situated 225 miles east of Chicago, 60 miles south of Detroit, and 120 miles west of Cleveland offering a host of options for weekend getaways and day trips.
It is regarded as one of the area's choice residential communities, including country estates, condominiums, apartments, retirement facilities, and individual homes.
The school system is excellent and consists of seven elementary, three junior high, and two senior high schools. The system offers college preparatory and vocational education studies, and continuing adult education programs.
